She’s an entrepreneur

This week, I launched my new business: Pathways Collective. Pathways Collective is an online life coaching and mentoring platform helping you follow your intuition, navigate career changes and accomplish your goals – together.

In 2020, I switched careers and my life changed overnight. As many of you know, this was hard work. Really hard. I taught myself how to code after work hours and on weekends, started sharing my journey on here and on social media, cried one too many times when I thought I’d never make it, that I should stick to what I know and place it safe.

But, I persevered and it has been the best decision I ever made.

Three years later, and some personal struggles along the way, I’m now living the life I always dreamed of, on MY TERMS. I’m earning more than I imagined, traveling the world (for work!), building innovative products with world-leading engineers, product managers and specialists, and speaking on stages to thousands of people.

Why Pathways Collective?

Throughout my career I have benefitted hugely from mentors and coaches. My first career mentor was Kelly Beaver MBE, now CEO of Ipsos UK and Ireland, who taught me to believe in my abilities, that my past does not determine my future, and led by example of what it means to be a strong, confident woman in business. Then, I worked closely with Meera Craston, another amazing woman who taught me to embrace my emotions in the workplace, see my empathy for others as a superpower and how to better communicate sensitive topics on behalf of myself and others.

I then started a journey to switching careers and reached out to so many people (too many to list) who gave me advice on how to get started, how to promote my brand, how to navigate the fast-paced world of tech and remind me that I do belong. This is where I found Community. An uplifting, powerful force of like-minded individuals who push you to be the best version of yourself and work towards your goals everyday. Who remind you life is for living. To keep going when times are tough.

Since then I’ve worked with a series of mentors and coaches. I joined Tiwalola (Tiwa) Ogunlesi’s Confident and Killing It community, and worked with a whole host of people, but a few I need to call out:

Eric Johnson and Steven Bryen on public speaking and putting myself out there; Michael Hume on technical specialism and building modern applications; Matt Berg, Emily Shea, Brian Hammons and Matt Meckes on Go-to-Market specialism, understanding market strategies, product development cycles, customer communication and building a public profile for what I’m good at; and last, but by no means least, Jeff Barr, on how to find my true path in tech, a soundboard for my – often – bold ideas, safeguarding myself as I venture into new opportunities and always offering inspiration for my overall career goals.

Alongside those who were given (hounded by me until they accepted) the title mentor / coach, there are so many more people I look up to, admire, learn from and emulate.

This is what I want Pathways Collective to be for you. A vibrant community of people who want to take ownership of their path – whatever that may be, every step of the way, each twist and turn.

From spending as much time on the waves as possible to owning your own company to becoming a technical specialist to working from wherever in the world you choose (spoiler: these are mine!).

I am currently in training for my life coaching accreditation, building the website (pathwcollective.com LAUNCHING SOON), self-learning Pathways and Collective membership platform. In 2024, I will be offering 1:1 coaching, organisational workshops and training programmes, and in-person events.

Join me in this journey building OUR collective.

Navigating futures, building community. Together 🤙
